8mm black and white test shot

I was very excited that you enjoyed my first little try on 8mm Film, so here's the test shot for black and white! The Music is by Julian Winter, who kindly let me use his wonderful tunes, you should really check out his site here to hear more of his work.

  4. Incredibly atmospheric. Amazing how it generates emotion, unlike modern video which is so sterile in comparison.

  5. Whole new level of admiration for your blog. How long do these take you (filming, I mean), and how do you process the film?

    1. Thank you, Hannah! Well, the 8mm films are only a few mintes long anyway so it doesn't take too long...the colour film took me about 15 minutes to shoot, the black and white a half hour I would guess. Processing is a bit difficult I have to say, there are only very few places that develop super 8 films (many who transfer already developed film rolls to dvds, but very few that develop them!) You can actually send them to Kodak but that's quite expensive with post and packaging! I luckely did find one lab near to friends of mine, and they helped me get them developed eventually! So you first have to get them developed and then tranfer them to DVD. WHEW long answer!!
