what ever happened to all the fun in the world

So, it's New Years Eve again...I don't know if you're reading my little blog since last year, but I am not the biggest
fan of all the New Years celebration. I just don't know how to stay in a good mood while I constantly get reminded
that another year has gone by, that I'm one year older again...sure, you can see it from the "half full" point of view:
it's a new beginning, you could do everything better this time, I know. And it's not that I didn't try to celebrate it,
I tried the stay-at-home-with-friends version, but that ended in me drinking too much champagne and falling asleep before midnight. Oh, and I tried going to a big party with veeery hip people, watching the skyline at midnight on a rooftop, but I sprained my foot on the way up and sat downstairs all night with a swollen ankle -let's just say, it's
not my thing...and the world will end in 2012 anyway so who cares.
But...yeah...still Have a Happy New Year everyone!!!!

and yet another post-christmas post.

I know we all have been bombarded with christmas stories over the last days, and probably all of you are already
fed up with pictures of shimmering trees and cute presents. However, I personally am very happy about every single
bit I can get of this post-christmas hype! After the long search for a new home and the stressful move, Christmas
came so fast this year that I hold on to any little thing that keeps this kitschy, glittery feeling of the holidays alive!
Oh, and Asim felt very festive too this time when he received his first wrapped present...
Asims first Christmas present!
Bone
...Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

Some shots from our old home. I baked Christmas cookies while I was packing, that helped me feel a little bit less
lost in the half empty apartment. I really didn't get much christmas feeling this year because of all the moving
stress -I think I'll do some last minute decorating tomorrow! What do you think, it's not too late to put up some Christmas lights, right?

we packed up home and left.

packing

Sorry that it took me so long to come back to my beloved blogworld, but the move was more straining than I thought it would be. My poor Asim got really scared when eight big men came and started packing up our home in a huge van. And I guess he knew that we wouldn't come back when we left the empty apartment, because he didn't wanted to move away from the front door, he laid on the ground and it took some hard work to convince him to come with me. The whole 4 hour drive to our new apartment he was shaking all over his body -it broke my (already homesick) heart! But don't worry, he is settling in quite well by now...we both are! We have a wonderful big park right next to our new home, and more green spots around than we could ever dream off. I hope to soon show you some pictures from our new place and environment.

Oh, before I forget, do you have any good tips for recovering from a bad allergy attack? I'm trying shake off the dust allergy that is torturing my lungs since packing tons of books in and out of 50 moving boxes -most important New Year's resolution: dusting up all the books every week!!!!
